Our Interim Director, Denise Gilliam, joins us for the 2026 – 2027 school year. Ms. Gilliam’s career background is in school administration and classroom leadership. For twenty years, she worked at Christ Church Episcopal Preschool (CCEP) in Greenville, DE. Her final year at CCEP was as the Interim Head of School during their 2024 search for a Head of School.

Hello St. David’s!  I am truly excited and humbled to serve in the Interim Director position during this important season of leadership transition and growth at the school. Over the past 20 years, I have developed extensive experience in preschool leadership, operations, team development, and strategic coordination, all while building strong and meaningful relationships across diverse environments. I bring a collaborative spirit, a solutions-oriented mindset, and a deep commitment to excellence that helps teams move forward with clarity and confidence. My faith is central to who I am. It heavily influences the integrity, compassion, and servant leadership approach I strive to demonstrate every day. I am honored for the opportunity to contribute my experience, vision, and dedication in a way that supports both the school’s mission and extraordinary community this school has built.
