St. David’s Episcopal Day School was established in 1955 by the Vestry of St. David’s Episcopal Church. Our school offers classes for two-, three-, four- and five-year-old as well as an Extended Care service for a limited number of children who are enrolled in our school program. Young children of all religions are welcome at St. David’s Episcopal Day School. Presently St. David’s Episcopal Day School serves over 100 children through its various programs.

St. David’s Episcopal Day School curriculum meets the needs of each child through developmentally appropriate practices, materials and methods. The whole child is developed — cognitive, social, physical, emotional and spiritual. The skilled teachers and specialists work to provide an enriching environment where the foundation for a love of learning and respect for others can grow.
Our class sizes are small, and there are always two skilled professionals available to assist the children. All classroom staff meet or exceed Delaware licensing standards. Our children exercise and strengthen their growing bodies in developmental movement classes. Field trips and special visitors are part of the program. In the past, optional programs included Spanish and Soccer.
St. David’s is a Christian institution, a weekly chapel service is part of the school experience. This is a joyous time of worship through song, story and prayer, usually conducted by our Rector. Further emphasis is placed on Christian living by example and the inclusion of holiday themes. Parents of the children are welcome to participate in all aspects of the program. Non-Christian families are invited to share their heritage with us as well.
Our summer program for children ages 3-5 takes place in June, July, and August. This is a great opportunity to transition to our school! The summer program offers flexible full and half day options in theme sessions.
