Our Staff

The staff of St. David’s Episcopal Day School is among the best in New Castle County! ALL of them meet or exceed what the licensing agency requires them to have for their position! Teachers could be administrators, assistant teachers could be teachers, and so on. ALL of them are committed to providing the best developmentally appropriate programming to the children we serve – making sure all domains are presented in a manner that is respectful, engaging, fun, and relevant.

Just as our families are varied in many ways, so to is our staff. Races, cultures, family units, educational and professional experiences are wide-ranging. Some are local to North Wilmington, Wilmington, or Delaware while others are here from several states or even countries. A commitment to working with young children is a commonality – but there is a nurse, a chef, a business banker, an accountant, a social worker, retail and restaurant experiences, parents, grandparents, dog or cat owners, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters. We rejoice with each other during those blessed times and grieve with each other during those life events. Ours is caring staff, reaching out to the community and beyond. Fundraising drives for the American Cancer Society and the local Ronald McDonald House are staff driven but involve the larger school and parish family as well. We purchased and maintain a Little Free Library on the property, dedicated to the memory of Phyllis Connor, a past Director of St. David’s Episcopal Day School.

We are members of professional early childhood organizations – deaeyc and NAEYC. We participate in annual professional development, including but not limited to CPR, AED, and First Aid training. You are never too old to learn!
